Today in class we created a bar graph. The steps you need to create bar graph are....
1]] Get your data from what ever you need.
2]Make an L on your grid paper.
3]Use your data to create your graph.
4] DON'T forget to add a title and labels.
5]Measure up your data on your graph.
6] Make a response to your graph.
Now you have completed your graph.

Lego Robotics
Students have built their robots. Some are in the process of programming and finding that things don't work so they have to go back through their manuals and make corrections. Others are on to the next step which involves writing a story with their robot in it. One group actually presented their robot and story to the class on Friday.

Geometry in Grade 3
We have been learning about 3 dimensional solids in grade 3. This is a comparison that the class did between two solids.
The cube (A) can stack but the pentagonal based pyramid (B) can't stack.
Both solids have 6 faces (even number).
The cube has 12 edges and the pentagonal based pyramid has 10 edges.
The cube has 8 vertices and the pentagonal based pyramid has 6 vertices.
Shape A is made of squares. Shape B is made of triangles and one pentagon.
Both solids can't roll.
Both solids can slide.
Life reference: A cube looks like an ice cube and the pentagonal based pyramid looks like the top of a church
