Geometry in Grade 3

We have been learning about 3 dimensional solids in grade 3. This is a comparison that the class did between two solids.

The cube (A) can stack but the pentagonal based pyramid (B) can't stack.

Both solids have 6 faces (even number).

The cube has 12 edges and the pentagonal based pyramid has 10 edges.

The cube has 8 vertices and the pentagonal based pyramid has 6 vertices.

Shape A is made of squares. Shape B is made of triangles and one pentagon.

Both solids can't roll.

Both solids can slide.

Life reference: A cube looks like an ice cube and the pentagonal based pyramid looks like the top of a church
