Soils

Today we explored soil from Mrs. Pessoa's garden. We found out some interesting things about the soil we examined.

Here are some of our observations of things that were in the soil:

plants
roots
sticks
worms
grass
centipede
tiny insects
weeds
mud balls
seeds
nut shells
stems
leaves


The soil and our senses:

two different colours-black and brown
rough
smelled like broccoli and rain (it had rained the day the dirt was dug up)
smelled like dirty clothes
